MOJO and no mojo.............................................................

Susan this post is for you - thanks for the kick up the butt to make me update this sad neglected blog.  Truth is, I've not been scrapping and therefore have nothing to post.  Sad I know.

Well the not scrapping is a half-truth - I recently attended CAMP MOJO in the Hunter Valley surrounded my some awesome chickies who made me laugh till my sides split - Sharryn, San, Wendy, Sar, Peta, Lisa W, Lisa O and it was great to finally put 2 new faces to names: Kris and Susan.  The retreat was massive - imagine the noise of 80+ women all in one room, WOW.  A couple of the highlights were: A little trip to the wineries for some tastings with my SIL, an entertaining drive and photos in a quiet little church with San and Sharryn, meeting a few other scrappers from across the country who were sooo friendly and I hope we meet up again someday, and last BUT NOT LEAST a very shocking, revealing, amazing performance from the one and only Mrs Sharryn Thomson!  See pics below - she makes a goood tranny don't you think?!!

Heres a pic of our roudy gang

As the title say 'no mojo' I didn't get much scrapping done - not for want of trying, I just couldn't put anything together and make it work.  I really should have got up off my butt and socialised more but sadly there was very little room between tables for even little me to move around.  Here's a couple of layouts I did - the first one here is using the awesome new products from a lil something - have you seen their stuff? If not its worth checking out, and very reasonably priced too

I also did a layout of one of my gorgeous nephews doing a nudie run, but it's a bit inappropriate to put here on the www even if he is only 3 years old!

This is my fave layout - It was inspired by the Storyboard Kits Sketch Challenge, thanks Lisa.

So thats it from me, I have not been creative lately so it could be a while before you see this little baby updated again.

Chow for now.....

Time flies when you're having fun doesn't it?!  I know it is for me this year - and I can't seem to keep up with myself LOL

My mojo has been very hot and cold, not something I can control unfortunately.  So I try to just go with the flow, and not force it.  I also get distracted very easily, so when the mojo is on a roll - I'm off doing something else !!!!

Good Friday I went down to Scrapbooking Delights for the day/night scrap.  I had an UNREAL time, managed to complete 4 layouts (double my previous record!!) and I'd just like to mention I had THE BEST THAI I have ever eaten. OMG just thinking about it, I want some now.

Enough chit chat from me, here are some scrappy layouts I've completed lately.

I'm baaaaaack!

I have had quite a glut in mojo for the past couple of months.  Not sure why but geez it was frustrating. I felt like it would never come back to me.  But I'm pleased to announce I have been scrapping a little and my mojo is returning albeit slowly....

Sassy Lil Sketches inspired me to scrap this

Creative Scrappers Sketch #145 inspired 'Cuddle Bug' - my gorgeous newest nephew

Scrapbook Savvy March sketch was the basis for 'Chilling out'

Challenge Heaven March Sketch had me creating this layout 'Brotherly Love'

This layout 'capture' was based on Scrapbook it March sketch

Another layout inspired by Sassy Li'l sketches

Anna's Craft Cupboard was the inspiration behind this layout 'cute'

Stuck?! always inspires - here is my take on the 1st March Sketch

Adore You is my favourite layout at the moment - inspired by Handmade by Suzanne March Sketch

Wow, now there's the biggest layout post I've ever done. Maybe I need to lose my mojo more often.  One thing I have noticed, is that I LOVE sketches!!!

Happy Scrapping

Stuck?! Again!

Good Morning everyone,

Hows life with you all? Its settling down for me, slowly but surely and I'm making sure I enjoy every minute of this precious life we have (sorry, bit heavy I know).  I have lost my mojo, its been gone for quite a few weeks now, I have absolutely no desire to scrap.  This is what I came up with when I forced myself over the last couple of weeks, it's based on the 1st February Stuck!? Sketch

I feel like it's missing something, But I have no idea what, so any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

And this is one I persevered with this week.  It too seems to be lacking something???
Inspiration is from Creative Scrappers Sketch #141

Enjoy what's left of your weekend, I know I will as I'm out with the family for a Big Birthday lunch for me today!!!  Its only around the corner at Rock Salt but we're getting picked up so DH and I have have a drink or 3 - sssoooooo looking forward to it.

Chow for now xxx

I love a relaxing life

Don't you just love it somedays when the whole day is spent relaxing, doing stuff just for YOU.  And these are the days I appreciate more than ever.  Especially when there's a little bit of scrapping involved.  I thought I'd lost my mojo but I've managed to drag it out of its hiding place.

The following layout 'pub crawl' was inspired by Anthea's monthly sketch over at Savvy

Here's hoping my mojo is back to stay!!

Scrappy Blog

Time for a very quick Blog update with a couple of layouts I have scrapped.  The past few weeks have seen very little scrapping by me - I'm not sure why, I just don't have the inclination to do it, and it's not like I haven't wanted to, I sit down and try to start a layout and get stuck and end up doing something totally different.

The first layout is of the middle nephew welcoming his new cousin Zane: (love love love Echo Park Paper!)  - completed based on a Storyboard Sketch

And this layout is 'He makes me laugh' - I am the luckiest girl in the world to have married this man.  13 years this week.

What's everyone up to this weekend?  Just a few things on for us, plenty of scrapping time available, I just hope I can get into it.

It's Hot

Anyone living in Sydney this past week knows exactly what I'm talking about.  Now I don't feel the heat as much as most Sydney-siders (must be my QLD blood) but this week even I have put the air-conditioner on at about 4pm most days.

I have been lucky enough to have had this past week off and guess where I spent every day - The Beach.  Who wouldn't, its been unreal.  Every morning I get up, drive down to Cronulla, go for a long walk in the soft sand till I'm stuffed, then walk back and relax reading my book and swimming.  This is the life!

Even though I've had time off, I haven't been doing much scrapping.  Not sure why, maybe its my now pristine clean scrapping room  and I don't want to mess it up!  My mojo has not been around much and to be honest I haven't missed it either.

But here is one I have finally completed for a Sassy L'il Sketches Challenge.  I managed to change it into a double and kept it quite simple.

Scrapping Again

Howdy readers, I've been scrapping again.  Not much this time, my mojo has run away now that I have a clean scrap space.  I think maybe I'm too scared to mess it up!

Here is a layout I've done from inspiration from Creative Scrappers Blog - Sketch #137

My newest nephew and his Mum - he's soooo cute and so easy going too.

Thats all for now,  it's pretty warm here today so I'm about to turn the air-con on and relax.

My Scrap Space

The lovely Donna White recently shared her scrap space on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum and has put up a challenge to all to share yours too.  Well I was in absolute aawwwee of everyone's storage of their stash.  So it was time for me to clean my mess up before I photograph.  And now its done, here is my creation station.  I'm lucky enough to have my own room to scrap in, and can leave it in a mess and shut the door to come back to it later.  I always scrap with noise in the background, either music or the tv - it helps me create!

I made my own photo frames to showcase my latest fave layouts on the wall.  This is where I scrap most nights, if I've got company we scrap on the dining room table so we can spread out and make an even bigger mess!  That green tablecloth is about to be upgraded, I'm thinking calico but am worried my chocolate nibbling habit while scrapping will mark them too quickly ha ha ha ha

And here is where most of my stash is stored, in this awesome shelving from Ikea I got 5 years ago:

This looks neat and tidy hey? I wonder how long that will last!!!!

And I must confess, there's a pile on the floor (that's not in the photographs LOL) of stuff I need to sort out, like scrapping mags, photography mags, old scrap crap etc etc.  Thats a job for another day because after this clean up I'm exhausted!!!
I Love Stuck! Sketches

I am always inspired by the sketch challenges at Stuck! I've probably said this a thousand times before -but it's true!!  Here is my take on the both of the Jan Sketches

And I also dabble with the Savvy Sketch by Anthea every month

But wait there's more!!!

Here are the layouts I managed to complete for the January 'Australia Day' Savvy Cybercrop:

San's Challenge was to use the word 'Bugger' as your title, I have quite fitting photos don't you think?

Kerryn's Challenge was sketch based:

And Sara's Challenge was to use Red/White/Blue colour combo:

Its time to share!

I have been thoroughly enjoying a renewed scrapping mojo for the last couple of weeks so I thought I'd share with you all a few challenges that have inspired me.

This challenge is for a site I stumbled up on by accident - scrapbookitblog.blogspot.com - and loved the sketch so here's my take:

And here is my layout for pencillines sketch - it's using papers that I don't like but couldn't bear to throw them away, stupid I know

Thanks for visiting me - I'll be back again soon to share some more creations - mojo willing :-)

I'm ssssoooo bored at *work* right now I'm seriously going out of my mind.  So I thought I come here, to pass the time and make a post.

So if you read my store a couple of months ago about an eventful trip to Wollongong with Del to Scrap, well the drive home from Scrapbooking Delights last Saturday was nearly just as much fun.  We departed Dapto about 9.30pm, getting a bit weary so thought we'd hit the road before it got too late.  Well about 10 mins into the drive we hit fog, not just a little bit, A LOT.  It was thick, and we could barely see a metre in front of the car.  Both Del and I had our little noses stuck to the windscreen, eyes wide open, doing 50 k/hr in a 110k zone.  Del was in charge of the Hazard lights (I was concentrating too hard to find the switch LOL)  It seemed like it took forever, even though we kept chatting all the way.  I'm sure you south coast girls have experienced it many times, but I have never driven in fog like that before.  I had been taking photos all day....but in our extreme concentration I forgot to snap the fog - what sort of slack scrapper am I!!  On the upside I'm stoked we didn't get a flat tyre!!!!

Anyways, now that you've read my short boring story, you're probably ready for a nap.  10 minutes of my day has just passed so mission accomplished if you ask me.  Only 10 more minutes to go till home time.....counting down

Awesome crop at Scrapbooking Delights!  Del and I took a road trip to Dapto yesterday to catch up with San and crop the day (and evening) away.  Had heaps of laughs and as a bonus got a couple of layouts done. This first one I used the new Campfire OA range I bought while I was there. It is about the fun we had around the campfire when we went camping with a group of good friends a couple of months ago.  Why is it that boys can't leave a fire alone - no matter what they're age!!!

This layout is of my SIL and her youngest (omg oh so cute son) - its not about anything at all, I just wanted to use the new Echo Park Little Boy range ;-)

And an old photo from last Easter finally scrapped.  I have notice a trend of late - I'm stitching on nearly every layout, its quite relaxing and I think the 'Sew Easy' I bought has made it sooo much simpler that I really enjoy it.

Well there's a few more hours left today - better get this mess cleaned up so I can start another layout!

Thanks for stopping by xxx

Happy New Year to my few blog readers.  I hope you saw it in with drink in hand and a smile on your dial.  I know I did ;-)  I'm not very good at this blog thing, work seems to always get in the way.....however I am getting better.

During the Christmas break (I had nearly 2 weeks off work WOOHOO) I scrapped like I've never scrapped before.  My mojo hasn't been around like that since I can last remember and it felt GREAT.  I have been inspired by some of the many challenges on the net around the globe and I'll share a few.

Thanks for stopping by - not many people know about my blog because I really don't have anything to say 99.9% of the time.  We all know I'm not like that in real life ;-)

SORRY - LAYOUT REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION

And this layout below was inspired by Anthea's Monthly sketch challenge over at the friendly homely forum - Scrapbook Savvy

Thanks for stopping by - be sure to call again soon! Or leave me your calling card so I can come visit you xxx

Stuck?! Sketch Challenge

Just one more layout for the year........  my entry into the Stuck?! sketches challenge for December 15th

The very last day of 2010.

Personally, whilst my year hasn't been all that bad, I'm really looking forward to seeing a New one in, one full of exciting new changes, new beginnings and lots of fun and happiness with Family and Friends.

My scrapping has been on a roll this week - look what happens when I have time off work!

Here's my take on the Kraft it Up December Challenge:
