Wow, what a weekend of adventure!  Well one little adventure that turned into a big deal.  Danielle and I headed down to the Pink Ribbon Savvy Crop on Saturday afternoon.  We didn't get very far, just past Helensburg and we heard and felt the car making a strange noise.  Yep we had a flat tyre.  My first question to Danielle was 'are you in the NRMA?' She said 'nope, but thats ok I know how to change a tyre'.  Such confidence - gotta love her!

It wasn't the nicest feeling being stuck on the side of a highway, 2 females on our own, with semis flying past at 110km per hour, no one bothering to stop, but quite a few people felt the need to beep their horns - whats with that??

We managed to jack the car up, undo the super tight wheel nuts, fit on the spare tyre and voila.  I must say all that under pressure on the driver side wheel, once accomplished we were very proud of ourselves.  I'll admit we were giggling a lot :-)

Here are the after pics

The spare tyre wasn't in good shape, but better than the flat.  So instead of scrapping we turned around and made our way home.....slowly. Very grateful it happened on the way there and not on the way home in the middle of the night.  But still.... Not sure I want to do that again anytime soon!!!! But as per usual I laughed and laughed and laughed, gotta love being able to see the bright side of life
